WESCLIN REMOTE LEARNING PLAN

April 03, 2020

In alignment with new guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), Wesclin School District is required to create a Remote Learning Plan.  This document will outline expectations, strategies and available resources to implement remote learning.

Our goals for remote learning are:

  • Provide students with continuous learning opportunities that reinforce critical standards.

  • Minimize instructional loss.

  • Provide routines and structures to help students stay engaged and connected

  • Attend to our students’ social and emotional needs.

Our commitments for remote learning are:

  • Provide materials equitably to all students that reinforce critical grade-level standards.  (These are daily and/or weekly.)

  • Ensure educators are virtually available and engaged with students daily.  Should an educator become unavailable an alternate contact will be made available.

  • Social workers and counselors are virtually available to assist with social and emotional needs.

  • Monitor and track student work performance and engagement on a weekly basis.

  • Make certain an administrator is available in district every day from 8:00-3:00.
